Very cool – I learned a lot from the article, The Day the Dinosaurs Died.

The impact of the KT asteroid was as powerful as a billion Hiroshimas. It caused earthquakes that were a thousand times more powerful than anything humans have experienced. Sediments thousands of miles away basically liquified as they shook. Massive fires raged as white-hot particles rained down. Huge tsunamis surged hundreds of miles inland. A dark, nuclear winter set in for many years. According to these researchers, 99.9999% of all life on earth was obliterated. Wow!
